August and September, 2025

Here's a look at how we wrapped up our summer this year:

We traveled to Idaho at the beginning of August for Evan's 3rd birthday. We got him a bike for his birthday, which he loves! He is getting faster and more confident all the time and loves to ride his bike around the neighborhood and to the park. We also went to his dinosaur themed birthday party with family and friends.

Nora and Kassie invited Bryce and me to meet them at Great Basin National Park for a weekend. We were so surprised at how beautiful this area in the middle of nowhere Nevada is! We had a great time exploring together. We hiked to alpine lakes and to see bristlecone pine trees (the oldest living organisms on the planet.

We also toured Lehman's cave and looked at both the sun and the amazing night sky through powerful telescopes at ranger led programs. It was a super fun weekend!!

We did a lot of hiking at the end of August and throughout September. The Utah mountains are so stunning this time of year! We hiked to the suspension bridge in Draper, to Cecret Lake in Little Cottonwood Canyon, Primrose trail and to Julie Andrews meadow in AF Canyon and also took Bryce's mom on a drive to Snowbird for lunch one day, which she absolutely LOVED!

Bryce and I both celebrated birthdays - me by going to a Harry Potter exhibition with Autumn and Bryce and Bryce with dinner and cake with the fam.

I went to Idaho for a few days in September on my own to spend some time with the two cutest little boys on the planet:

Ready for October!! Best time of the year!!
