October was such a fun month!! Megan and Mitch drove to Utah early in the month an spent 3 weeks with us (or at least Evan and Logan were with us for 3 weeks - more on that later). We started their visit with a family Halloween party complete with dinner, pumpkin decorating and caramel apple making.
Megan and Mitch took a trip to Puerto Rico for 11 days and left Evan and Logan with us. We had a great time with the boys, taking them to the park, the museums at Thanksgiving Point and Cornbellies as well as just having fun playing at home. We love our grandsons and any time we get to spend with them.
After getting back from their tropical vacation and before they headed back to Idaho, Megan threw a race car themed first birthday party for Logan. Lots of family came to celebrate the birthday boy and we had a fun evening together!
We also went to Gardiner Historic village with the boys on Halloween, had some more fun at home and got to go trick or treating with them before they headed back to Idaho on November 1.
Back in Idaho, Megan had fun with boys playing in the fall leaves in their backyard:
Bryce and I enjoyed a hike in Provo Canyon and also going to see a really fun play at the Hale with Autumn, Teddy, Devin and Levi. We also went to see a local production of "Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat" with Kassie and Nora.
After months of rehearsal, at the beginning of December, Kristi, Becki and I performed in the annual Sounds of the Season Christmas concert. This is one of my favorite things each year. I LOVE being part of this amazing event and also having time with my sisters each year at rehearsals! The concert this year was better than ever!! And it's always so fun to have so much support from family and friends.
We also went to Rockefeller Center and walked around that area seeing all the Christmas sights.
Along with seeing the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall (which was AMAZING!), we also went to see Hamilton (so so so good!) and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (which may literally be the best thing I have ever seen on stage) on Broadway. All of the shows were mind blowing and so fun! We also enjoyed some really good food along the way as well.
We also went to The Met, the Natural history museum, FAO Schwartz, the NYC library, Saks Fifth Ave, the American Girl doll store (which brought back all kinds of memories), several Christmas markets and just enjoyed spending time together in New York. It was a magical and super fun trip!
Looking forward to spending some time with our kids around the Christmas holiday though they are all spending Christmas Eve and Christmas day with their in-laws this year. It will be the first time Bryce and I have spent the Christmas holiday just the two of us, which will be different, but still fun, I think. Merry Christmas all!
