We started the month of July with a week long trip to Boise so Bryce could help Megan build a play house in their back yard while I watched Evan and Logan. Bryce and Megan did a great job on the play house and it is now Evan's favorite thing to do.
Autumn and Beckham joined us in Idaho for the 4th of July, which we spent with my sister, Kathi and her family. We had so much fun playing games in the yard and enjoying a delicious BBQ before lighting off fireworks in their front yard.
Evan got to stay up for fireworks for the first time ever and loved everything about it - the fire, the loud noise, the sparklers, staying up late - all of it! He gave the fireworks "two thumbs up" (using his pointer fingers) after the fireworks ended:
He was more than a little tired the next day, though, and fell asleep at dinner:
Adorable!! We had a family reunion with my side of the family for a few days near the end of July. The theme was "Competition is love" and we had so much fun playing carnival games complete with a prize booth that the kids absolutely loved and another day at Jordanelle reservoir where we played in the water and enjoyed the beach. I love these people who I get to call family!
We got to spend time playing with our grandsons while Megan and Mitch were in town even though they were staying with the Patricks this time. We love anytime we get to spend with them and had an especially fun day when we set up the crocodile waterslide for them.
That's it for July - see you next month!
