Bryce and I hiked the Three Falls trail in Alpine on a beautiful spring morning. We love this trail, especially in the spring when the hills are filled with beautiful yellow wildflowers.
On May 14, Bryce and I flew to South Carolina for a week long trip just the two of us. Our trip started in Congaree National Park where we took a kayaking tour down Cedar Creek that was just amazing! The landscape is other worldly and beautiful and we loved learning more about the trees, snakes, birds, turtles and even spiders we saw. It was like paddling through Jurassic Park.
We drove from Congaree to Sullivan's Beach for a day of sun and playing in the sand. The beach was beautiful, but the sand was so hard that Bryce could only make a mini sand castle. These jellyfish were all over the beach, though we didn't see any in the water.
We spent the next several days in Charleston. We loved walking around the historic city and learning more about its role in both the Revolutionary and Civil Wars.
We visited Fort Sumter, explored Historic Charles Town Landing where the city was first established in 1620 and visiting Magnolia Plantation and Gardens. Everything we did was so fun and so very beautiful. We definitely fell in love with Charleston and South Carolina!!
Devin and Levi tried out for and made the ensemble cast for Mama Mia! with the Sandy City theater. They look forward to starting rehearsals and we look forward to going to see them in the play in August!!
Autumn took a trip with her girl friends to Maui that was a ton of fun! She is staying busy with a couple of summer courses to be ready for her internship program in the fall as well as working as a waitress at Los hermanos and as a nanny. She moved home for the summer and we love having her closer when she's actually at home. :)
We took a short trip to Boise to visit Megan, Mitch and Evan and loved spending time with them as always!
Megan and Mitch also announced that they will be adding another baby boy to their family in November. We are so happy and excited!!
