January 2024

It's another new year! We got a LOT of snow here in Highland this January and Bryce spent a good deal of time showblowing and shoveling snow. One morning as he shoveled the snow, he took the time to make me this sweet message in the front yard. :) He's the best!!

Nora had to have her wisdom teeth pulled and it ended up being quite the ordeal. After more than an hour at the dentist's office with him getting one tooth out easily and then having to really work on the other tooth and still not being able to get it out, we were sent to an oral surgeon who (thankfully) was able to put Nora under general anesthetic and get the other three teeth out. It was not a fun experience (to say the least), but she recovered over the next few days and in time to start her internship in Salt Lake City, which she is really loving.

Autumn moved back to Provo and started another semester at UVU, which she is mostly loving. :) She also really wanted me to sew her a quilted jacket, so we chose some fabrics she liked, I cut them all up and then sewed them back together to make a quilted fabric and with a lot of help from my friend Michelle, we sewed her this adorable reversible quilted jacket. She LOVES it and gets compliments on it every time she wears it. I'm glad she loves it, but I am retired from making clothing. Definitely not my thing. :)

I put together this Hogwarts Castle lego set that Bryce got me for Christmas and I love it so much! It has so many fun details and was lots of fun to put together. It's now on display in our living room. :):)

Bryce and I took a short trip to Idaho to spend some time with Megan, Mitch and Evan. We had so much fun playing games, enjoying delicious food made by Mitch (he is a really good cook!) and playing with our adorable and so happy grandson. Evan is growing so quickly! He is total joy and we love spending time with him!!

That's it for our January! See you next month!
