September 2024

We started September with a bunch of YSA activities to get to know all of the new people who have moved into our ward with the start of a new school year. We had a Bishopric dinner and games up Provo canyon and had so much fun! And as an added bonus, I got to bring a stack of my quilts for people to sit on as they ate. Fun to see them being used. :)

We had a bridal shower for Autumn on September 14 with the theme of "She's off the Market". Megan came to town the day before and my sister Kim came a couple of days before to help with preparations and it turned out so cute with farm fresh foods for eating and a flower bar for each guest to make their own bouquet before leaving. We had more than 35 guests who came to celebrate Autumn, play games, eat lunch, socialize and watch her open her gifts. It was such a fun time!!

Autumn and Teddy took their bridal pictures up Big Cottonwood Canyon on September 18. They turned out so gorgeous! Here are a few of our favorites:

Crystal Oliverson married Mark Long in the Ogden temple on September 21. The sealing was such a joyous occasion! In between the sealing and the reception, Bryce and I took a drive through Ogden Canyon to see the fall leaves and get a burger at the Shooting Star Saloon.

Megan, Mitch and Evan were in town for 3 weeks between Autumn's bridal shower, Crystal's wedding and Autumn's wedding, which gave us lots of time to do fun things with Evan. We went to the park...

Cooked with Baba and read stories and played with Lala...

Went to see the witches at Gardner Historic Village...

Took the top off of Bryce's jeep and drove the Alpine loop...

and went to Cornbellies...

Bryce celebrated his birthday at the end of the month. I surprised him with a date to the glass blowing studio where we both made glass paperweights. The process was so fascinating and it was really fun! I'll include a pic of our finished products in next month's blog. :)
