August 2024

At the beginning of August, Autumn, her cousin Logan and I took a short trip to Seattle to visit my dad. We had a great time together! We were there on my Dad's birthday, so we took a nature walk and then took him and Karen out to dinner to celebrate.

The next day, we went to downtown Seattle where we visited Pikes Place market, rode Wings over Washington and visited the Museum of Pop Culture.

Our last day in Seattle, we drove to the Seattle temple and did an endowment session together and then spent the afternoon doing some work in my dad's yard for him. It was such a fun few days!

Evan celebrated his 2nd birthday on August 5 and Bryce and I took a short trip to Idaho to celebrate with his dino themed birthday party on August 11. We love any excuse to spend time with Evan and had fun on our short Idaho trip!

After months of rehearsals, Devin and Levi performed for 2 1/2 weeks in Sandy City's production of "Mamma Mia!" The show was so well done from the stage set to all of the amazing talent in the cast. I went to see the play 4 times with various groups of people and would have gone more if I could have done it. The play was sold out nearly every night and they had to add extra shows the last week to keep up with demand for tickets. It was seriously so good and SO MUCH FUN!!!!!

Bryce and I celebrated 32 years of marriage with an evening in Park City to go to our favorite restaurant, Riverhorse. As always, it did not disappoint.  And I celebrated my 53rd birthday! Yikes!!

Bryce used his new pully lift system to take the top off of his jeep and we drove to Tibblefork reservoir where we floated in the FRIGID water. It was a good time, despite the body numbness. :) We love living so close to the mountains!

I forgot to mention last month that Nora moved to an apartment in SLC with Kassie and with Autumn moving back to Provo to be closer to school and with friends, Bryce and I are back to being empty nesters. Which is fun! And we are also glad that most of our kids live close enough to visit often.
