January was pretty January-ish. Cold but sunny. We do have a few things to report on, though. Take a look:
Seth, Delaney, Autumn and Levi all started new semesters of college. Seth got a job as a TA for one of his professors and also a job as a research assistant for another of his professors. He was also accepted into the Ballard program at BYU and is also working on a research paper that will be published at the end of the semester on top of his other classes. He is busy! Delaney has classes and is working at Deseret Book in downtown SLC, so she is also busy. :) Those 2 were very happy to be called as teachers to the 5 year olds in primary in their ward. And they love taking care of (or messing with, depending on how you look at it) their cat, Blaze.
Devin officially dubbed Levi "king of the nerds" when he won the integration bee. (basically like a spelling bee, but with hard math problems). He said it was a really close competition and he was happy to come out on top. We are proud of him and all of his brains. :)
Devin and Levi also got together with friends and took trips to Pocatello and Boise (more on that trip later)
Autumn is liking her classes this semester, though she says she has way more homework this semester than last. She is also loving her mission prep institute class and officially submitted her mission papers yesterday (January 30). You will have to tune in next month to see where this cutie will be serving the Lord as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Bryce and I took a weekend trip to spend some time with Megan and Mitch in Boise. Devin and Levi also drove out from Logan for 2 of the days we were there, so we had a mini family reunion. :) We had fun playing games and exploring a little bit of downtown Boise, including the Freak Alley Gallery (so fun!) and the Re-POP store. Megan also invited her aunt (my sister) and uncle and her cousin Amanda and Tyler and their 5 children over for dinner and we had so much fun!
Megan and Mitch also found out that they will be adding a little boy to their family at the end of July, so that is exciting and fun news!! We are excited to welcome our first grandbaby. :)
Bryce and I spent some time taking all of the stuff off of the old boy's room's walls and repainting their rooms. I started a new year of BYU pathways with a new group of students from countries in Central Africa and am loving my second year as a missionary in the Pathways program. We also spent some time planning our upcoming trips for February and March - tune in then to see where we go (assuming we pass our Covid tests).
And of course, we had our usual shenanigans with Frankie:
That's it for January!
