It has been a beautiful February here in Utah - our flowers are already starting to bloom and we are all enjoying an unusually warm winter. Well, all of us except Megan who was looking forward to having snow after living in the heat of Houston for the past 18 months. :) She did get to see some snow flurries during a brief cold snap, but nothing that stuck to the ground. Oh well, here’s the news for the month for our family:

Devin stayed busy with school, work, Chamber choir stuff and dating. In a month’s time, he went to girl’s choice dances at Lone Peak High School, Lehi High School and American Fork High School - hey, why limit yourself to one high school, right? He likes to keep his options open. :)

(The theme for the above dance was “Things that go together”. Devin’s date, Amanda painted their t-shirts. :) Not sure how well a dinosaur and meteor go together, but it’s still super cute.)
We all went to a Vocal Point concert. (Well, all of us except Devin who was at one of his dances). In case you don’t know, Vocal Point is BYU’s all male acapella group and they are awesome! It was a fun concert and we had a great time together.

Megan started her job at Vivint and is loving it so far. Her job title is processing representative, and she is basically an office worker. :) She is still technically in the training stages, but she is doing more and more on her own, loves her team and says that the work is interesting and the environment lots of fun. She is working lots of hours and gets paid well, so she is happy about that, too. She also took a trip up to Logan with her friend and roommate Crystal to meet with counselors (she has officially changed her major from Elementary Education to Speech Pathology) and check out housing options for fall - she loved being back in Logan and is looking forward to moving back in August.
Seth kept busy with school, play practices, running on his own, and hanging out with friends. He was inducted into the National Honor Society this month and sang the national anthem with 7 of his friends at the induction ceremony. It was really good!

Autumn had another dance convention/competition and had a great time and did well with her team. She also started taking a silks class just for fun - her strength and flexibility in climbing and doing tricks in the silks is already impressive and she loves learning something new.

(She is about 10 feet off the ground in the above picture)
We had family pictures taken and were happy the weather was so warm and cooperative.

Autumn and Megan both went back into braces. Autumn is in full braces for the first time just for some simple straightening and to correct a slight underbite. Megan is getting ready to have double jaw surgery. Her lower jaw never formed properly and as a result, she has a pretty severe overbite. So, she will have her lower jaw broken on both sides, moved forward and titanium plates put in to hold it in place. Her upper jaw will also be broken and spread apart some so that her bite will be perfect. We are anticipating that the surgery will take place at the beginning of August and then she will have a 3 month recovery from there, with the first month being the worst. Although she isn't really looking forward to surgery, Megan is really excited to have a normal bite.
Devin found out that he has been accepted to BYU for Fall semester and is excited to be a Cougar! We have been enjoying some good natured ribbing between Devin and Megan as they argue over whether BYU or Utah State is the better school, and I’m sure that will only continue for the next several years. :) Good thing we love Cougars and Aggies around here!!
And just one totem pole picture, for Bryce :) Sure love these cute characters!!
