October 2022

 We started October in Oregon at the beach house.  Bryce and I drove from home to Boise where we picked up Megan and Evan and then made the 9 hour trip to the beach house.  It was Evan's first road trip and he did awesome!  We enjoyed having a week in Oregon and enjoying some pretty spectacular weather for part of our trip and then settling into normal grey, cloudy and cool weather.  Grandma Ririe was excited to meet her newest great-grandchild and we all enjoyed some snuggle time with Evan while we were there.  Here are a few pictures of us doing all of the normal things we do at the Oregon coast and loving our time there:

Evan celebrated his 2 month birthday while we were in Oregon and we also got this picture of 4 generations:

Bryce, Megan, Evan and I traveled back to Boise just in time for Evan's blessing. Seth, Devin and Levi all made the trip to be there along with some of Mitch's family and a few good friends.  It was a really fun weekend!  Here is a picture of Seth holding Evan for the first time as well as pictures of the blessing day.

Meanwhile, in Canada, Autumn celebrated her 20th birthday and continued doing the work of the Lord as a missionary. At the end of the month, she sadly said goodbye to all of the people she has grown to love so much in the Dalhousie ward in Winnipeg, Manitoba and traveled 6 hours to serve in Regina, Saskachewan. She and her companion are establishing a YSA area there and are working hard!!

In other fall fun, I went on a short quilting retreat to Springdale with my friend Michelle and her sister-in-law, Tracy. Always such a fun time!

I went to one of Autumn's besties, Jacee's farewell and Bryce and I enjoyed the beautiful fall mountains around us and time in the temple together.

Our kids all enjoyed some time loving the fall weather.  Devin and Levi spent time with friends exploring Logan and Megan and Mitch took Evan to his first pumpkin patch:

And Bryce and I dressed as a young Carl and Ellie from "Up". We had a great time at our YSA ward Halloween party, where we won best trunk at the trunk or treat. :)

Seth and Delaney also dressed up, but failed to take any pictures. :) Happy fall y'all!!
