March 2019

Seth continues to serve in the Anthem area of his mission, right outside of Henderson.  Seth says that most missionaries just take it easy if they get transferred to Anthem because "everyone knows you don't baptize in Anthem".  But Seth and his companion, Elder Erickson (his brother from another mother), worked smart and worked really hard and their efforts really paid off this month with 4 people they are teaching choosing to enter the waters of baptism.  Seth loves these people so much!!  And he LOVES being a missionary!!

Herman (the smaller man in this pic) is one of Seth's favorite people ever.

Marcio (on the left) made his family very happy when he chose to join them as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Mikey and Lizzie - two of Seth's favorite kids ever.  They definitely keep him on his toes.

Seth ended the month of March by saying goodbye to Elder Erickson who was transferred to another area and welcoming his new companion, Elder Ahlstrom, to Anthem.  Can't wait to see what happens next...

Meanwhile here in Utah, we experienced typical March weather, going from blizzards so bad that Bryce couldn't even make it in to work to beautiful blue skies and blooming flowers.  We are ready for the warmth to come and stay.

We had the college kiddos come home for Sunday dinner one weekend and have decided to make it a monthly tradition.  We love seeing who will show up with Megan and Devin, enjoying some good food and games.  It's Autumn's favorite Sunday of the month, and not just because she gets to wear a tiara :)

Autumn had her first 2 competitions with her after school competitive team, and although they are doing great and she loves competing and performing on stage, I think this will most likely be our last year of competitive dance with her.  She will stay on her high school team, but the after school team has become too demanding and she wants to do other things with her free time.  So we are enjoying cheering her on for one final dance comp season.

Her team in their alien costumes doing their best "silent scream" :)

Autumn and her bestie, Jacee

Devin came to cheer her on at her competition in Provo

We traveled up to Logan for Megan's ward's family day and enjoyed a day hanging out with Megan and her friends.  This picture was taken in the brand new building that houses the communicative disorders major - it's beautiful!

Autumn and Bryce went skiing together on a beautiful spring day.  We have gotten so much snow this year and the slopes were beautiful on the day they went.

I spent the month doing all of the normal things - taking care of home, the family, the pets, my neighbor's cute little ones (just one morning a week), helping to plan our Stake trek, and quilting in my free time.

Frankie is not nearly as helpful as he thinks he is

I finally made a quilt big enough to fit a queen size bed

One of the priest's in our ward was shopping with his dad when they saw this doormat and the priest told his dad they should get it for Autumn because it fits her so well, so they did and left it on our doorstep. :):)

Autumn went to Morp (girls choice casual dance) with a good friend of hers and her group had so much fun dressing up like farmers, going to karaoke, dinner and to the dance.  Autumn sure loves to have fun!!

That's about it for our March! :)
