May 2018

Elder Ririe continues to do great in Arizona serving as a missionary.  We love hearing from him each week!!

We had two major events on May 5.  First off, Seth became an actual, legal adult when he turned 18!

We celebrated with a family breakfast and then he spent the rest of the day doing all of his favorite things with his friends like going to SLC, jumping in Tibble Fork Reservoir, and even visiting a tattoo parlor - he did come home with a tattoo that night. It's a funny story - you'll have to have him tell you sometime.

While Seth was out partying it up with his friends, Bryce and I along with Grandma and Grandpa Ririe (who we loved having here for a visit) drove to Logan to celebrate our other really big event of the day, Megan's graduation from USU!!  We are so proud of her and all of her hard work!! She graduated with top honors and was excited to have the month of May off before she started grad school at the beginning of June.

Megan with her mentor, Dr. Barker.  She is AMAZING and Megan looks up to her so much!

We had a great time celebrating Mother's Day - Megan even came home for the weekend, which was a really great treat!!  And then we had the BEST time Skyping Devin and seeing his bright and happy face.  He is doing so well!!

The rest of May was filled with end of year choir and dance concerts, awards ceremonies (Seth was given an award at LPHS's Knight of Recognition for being one of less than 40 students in his class of 800 students to maintain a 4.0 for all 4 years of high school - way to go Seth!!), finals and just enduring to the end. :)

Autumn was kidnapped by the Performing Dance Company of LPHS to initiate her onto next year's team and had her first fundraiser for this team, a really fun and successful car wash.

She also went to the 9th grade end of year dance and was awarded top academic honors at her Jr. High's Evening of Excellence.  Great job, Autumn!!

Seth graduated from Seminary! We are so proud of his dedication to the gospel and his desire to learn about it on his own as a seminary student.  Here he is with all of the seminary graduates from our ward along with our amazing Bishop:

Then on May 31, we had another big celebration when Seth graduated from high school!!  I gave him this quilt that I had just finished binding for him:

The graduation ceremony was really good!! We love all of Seth's friends and family:

We celebrated Seth's graduation with a sushi dinner that was so delicious and then Seth went to party it up at his school's all night graduation party.

That's it for May!
