Devin continues to work hard as a missionary in northern Phoenix. He is currently serving as both a district and zone leader in his current area, so he's definitely keeping busy. We love hearing his stories and seeing his smiling face each week when he emails.

My nephew and niece Ben and Jess and their little boy Rowan came for a few days visit - it was fun to have this little guy around ;)

We took a Saturday when Megan was home visiting.and visited the Museum of Contemporary Art in SLC. Seth was happy to show us all around this small museum and Autumn decided she only likes "pretty" art and that contemporary art isn't her thing. :)

Megan and Autumn spent the rest of the weekend playing Lego Harry Potter on the Wii - it's been a long while since anyone has played our Wii, so it was kind of fun to see it get dusted off. :)

Megan found out that she was accepted to nearly all of the graduate programs that she applied to. She narrowed it down to the prestigious LISL program at Utah State that she was accepted to that only accepts 4 applicants each year and University of Iowa, which has the number 5 program in the nation for her chosen field of study. She has been offered generous financial aid for both schools and is going to Iowa early in April to visit there and get a feel for the school and program there.

Autumn had several dance conventions and competitions this month. Her Jr High team had their big recital and Autumn again got to choreograph a piece for the recital and that was really fun to see. She is a talented choreographer. At dance conventions, she received special honors by being selected to perform in the opening and closing show at one convention and winning a scholarship at another one. Her team is competing great as well. Autumn loves this time of year when she remembers why she goes to all of those hours of practice once she gets to be on stage performing once again.

While Autumn and I were at one of her dance conventions, Seth, Megan and Bryce traveled to NYC for Seth's Chamber choir tour. They had a great few days seeing the sights of NYC and several Broadway shows.

Seth in Times Square

Seth chose to spend his free day at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art. He loved both!
And for Seth, the highlight of the trip was getting to sing in Carnegie Hall, which he said was a life changing moment for him.

At the end of the month, Bryce, Seth, Autumn and I boarded a red eye flight headed for Richmond, VA. Seth had decided that he wanted to take his Senior trip to Washington DC, and since Washington DC is less than 3 hours from Monticello (Thomas Jefferson's plantation) and since Seth has wanted to go there since studying it in AP Art, we decided to fly into Richmond and drive the hour to Monticello from there. So we spent the last day of March visiting Monticello, which was so interesting!

Walking through the woods around the plantation - we listened to the first session of General Conference on this walk - got to love modern technology!

While waiting for our tour of the mansion, everyone settled down for a cat nap in the sun :) ;)
After visiting Monticello, we drove the 3 hours to Arlington, VA and settled into our Airbnb just across the river from downtown DC. You will have to tune in next month to read about the rest of our exciting trip to Washington DC since the rest of our trip happened during April. ;) See you all next month!
